International Students can now open a bank account before they arrive

Facilities
Flexible Learning Centres
Students studying English language programs at the Institute have
access to modern and well-equipped Flexible Learning Centres. A wide
range of software, audiovisual and printed materials is available for
practice and study in these Flexible Learning Centres.
Specialist teachers are available in the Centre to devise and support
individualised language learning programs for students.
Learning Commons
Holmesglen provides a well-equipped Learning Commons (library) on
each campus containing fully-networked computers, group discussion
rooms and comfortable informal study areas, as well as support to
help students with their research and study needs.
The Learning Commons contains a wide range of books, journals,
DVDs, videos, and audio-cassettes. The computers enable students to
increase their knowledge of the latest technologies through access to
the internet, a range of electronic databases and ebooks, as well as
multimedia learning packages, including online study skills support on
the Learning Commons website.
The Learning Commons on all campuses is open from Monday to
Friday. In addition, the Learning Commons in Building 8, Chadstone
campus is open from 11.00 am to 4.00 pm on Saturdays and Sundays.
Students should check Holmesglen’s website for updates or changes
to these opening hours. Students enrolled at Holmesglen may use
the Learning Commons on any campus. Helpful staff members are
available to assist students to use the resources and to find specific
information. Computers, video players and discussion rooms may be
booked in advance and printing and photocopying facilities are also
available.
Designated silent study areas are provided. Additionally, Holmesglen
students may use university libraries to borrow books through the
CAVAL system of inter-library loans. Information about this system may
be obtained during orientation.
Holmesglen provides access to computer rooms during the day, after
hours, at weekends and during the holidays.
