is designed with the growth of your organisation in mind.

boundaries, focusing on value creation, sense of community,
and discovering individual leadership styles
»
L

puts leadership in context with the rapidly changing
business environment and challenges leaders to be bold
while balancing risk with resilience
»
L
3
focuses on your ability to lead within your team, to
create a culture of collaborative learning and enables you
to identify the undiscovered competitive advantage that
your organisation inherently possesses.
L
3
will change your world, your team, and your organisation.
FEATURES OF THE L
3
360-Degree Survey:
This comprehensive assessment will
measure your leadership skills, style and potential. Completed
at the beginning and end of the programme, the 360-degree
survey tracks your leadership development and provides you
with confidential results from which you can continue to grow.
Electronic Media Delivery:
Leaders embrace change and
nothing moves faster than technology.Your learning experience
will be enhanced through the use of an electronic device, (such
as an iPad) for all your readings and applications.
There are three modules and the Capstone Project in the L
3
(order of modules may vary depending on your needs).
Module One – Leading by Values
»
Recognise the need for ‘meaning’ in the workplace and
a ‘sense of belonging and community’
»
Discover the concept that legitimacy to lead is awarded
to those who lead by values
»
Understand the correlation between leadership and happier,
better motivated, engaged and more productive employees.
Module Two – Leading Strategically
»
Discover the foundations for strategic leadership
»
Learn the tools to lead in times of crisis and change,
to set the right strategic directions and provide clarity
where there is complexity
»
Understand strategic competencies such as the ability
to articulate the appropriate strategic framework to add
value to your organisation and the ability to utilise the
appropriate drivers for innovation and growth.
Module Three – Leading Ambidextrously
»
Build on the foundations of intra- and interpersonal-skills
developed in Module One to lead ambidextrously
»
Understand new avenues that can be ‘explored’ and what
existing processes and practices can be ‘exploited’
»
Learn to judiciously balance ‘exploration’ and
‘exploitation’ – ambidexterity.
Capstone Project
You will work on your project throughout the three modules
and at the completion of each module the relevant work from
your Capstone Project will be assessed. At the completion
of all three modules, your team will finalise your project
implementation plan in detail and present it in a final workshop.
Your Capstone Project will be action-learning based.

RETURN ON INVESTMENT
The L
3
return on investment is evident in the high level of
personal development, the measurable results of the 360-degree
survey, and the Capstone Project which solves a real challenge
within your organisation. If required, the value of the Capstone
Project can be reviewed by Waikato Management School. This
review will answer the following questions: what was done,
what lessons were learnt, are the improvements institutionalised
and, as a consequence, what was your return on investment?
...the L ³ programme came around at just the right time in my career. I’d recently
moved into a management position in a large organisation where I focused on
WHAT to do. The programme taught me it was just as important to focus on HOW
(Values) and WHY (Strategically) we do things; putting the puzzle together for me.
I have become a better leader, translating into better results.

You are a leader. You know where your organisation is going, and more importantly, you know where
it
needs
to go. The question is, how can you help your organisation get there?
