RENOWNED ACADEMICS
Our scientists include 24 Fellows of
learned academies and seven ARC
Federation and Laureate Fellows who
have received national and international
recognition for their work, including:
Professor Andrew Holmes, who was
awarded a Royal Medal from the
Royal Society London. He is the
only Australian in 10 years to receive
the award
Professor Frances Separovic, Head
of the School of Chemistry, who
has been elected to the Australian
Academy of Science. She is the
frst female chemist elected to the
Academy
Dr Todd Lane from the School of
Earth Sciences, who was awarded
the Anton Hales medal for his

and turbulence.
