Streamlined Visa Processing
Streamlined Visa Processing
(SVP) is an initiative that was
implemented in 2012 by the
Department of Immigration.
Under this arrangement, student
visa applicants who are eligible
for the SVP are assessed for their
visa as though they were a low
immigration risk (similar to the
current Assessment Level 1),
regardless of their country of
origin. This substantially reduces
the amount of documentation
required and the length of time it
takes to issue the student visa.
