Ideal for students who wish to progress to further studies, this program can provide a pathway to the second year of our Bachelor of Business. Students may also go on to transfer, with credit, to the second year of a bachelor degree at a range of universities and tertiary institutions throughout Australia.

Diploma of Commerce

Undergraduate

With small classes and quality lecturers, students can complete the equivalent of a frst year of university studies while receiving the individual support, focus and encouragement required for success.

Progression

The Diploma of Commerce is designed to assist students with their frst steps on the career ladder by providing them with the basic business and management skills that underpin a successful career in the business world. Individuals who are returning to study may beneft from the opportunity to progress within their current positions on completion of their diploma program.

This program can be tailored to meet the student’s career goals through electives in accounting, management and marketing. Successful diploma graduates are able to articulate into the second year of the Bachelor of Business at Kaplan Business School or another higher education institution or continue their professional development within their chosen workplace.

Achievements

Upon successful completion of the Diploma of Commerce, students are able to: • explain the environments in which business operates

• demonstrate fundamental knowledge of business concepts and practices • analyse a range of common economic situations using key economics theories, principles, models and laws

• apply core management and accounting principles to the analysis of current business practices

• communicate effectively in a range of business environments

I decided to study with Kaplan as my qualifcation will be recognised internationally. I was nervous at frst but as soon as my studies commenced, all fear disappeared.
